Buyer transfers €199,900 for cars and receives neither money nor vehicles

A man who paid €199,900 for two cars never received them, LRT reported, citing the Police Department.

The man, born in 1992, told Vilnius County Police on Friday that he had transferred the money to cryptocurrency wallets on the Binance platform between September 24 and October 8. The payment was for two cars he intended to buy in Slovakia.

<pThe transactions were made in Tarandė village, Vilnius district, according to the police. A pre-trial investigation has been opened.
