Valdas Adamkus remains in hospital for further treatment

Former Lithuanian President Valdas Adamkus will remain at Vilnius University Hospital Santaros Clinics for further treatment and care, LRT reported, citing the hospital.

“Taking into account his postoperative recovery, the president will remain at Santaros Clinics for further treatment and care for now,” the hospital said Friday. Adamkus is receiving all necessary medical assistance, and a medical team continues to monitor his condition.

Adamkus was admitted to the hospital on September 26 after his health deteriorated, and later underwent surgery. His most recent previous hospital admission was on January 5 this year. He will turn 100 on November 3.
