Warm Thursday to give way to rain and strong winds
Temperatures will reach 22 degrees in some parts of Lithuania on Thursday, but rain and much cooler weather are forecast from Friday, LRT Radio reports, citing forecaster Janas Voitkevičius of the Hydrometeorological Service.
Thursday will be partly cloudy, with a chance of light rain on the coast and moderate winds. Temperatures will range from 17 to 22 degrees.
Rain is expected across the country on Friday. Winds will reach 9 to 14 metres per second overnight, rising to 15 to 20 metres per second in the western part of the country. During the day, winds will reach 15 to 20 metres per second in many places, locally 21 to 23 metres per second, and above 26 metres per second in some coastal areas. Temperatures will be 8 to 13 degrees overnight and 10 to 15 degrees during the day.
Light rain is forecast in some places overnight on Saturday and in many places during the day, with winds of 9 to 14 metres per second and temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees. Rain is expected in many areas on Sunday and Monday, with Monday temperatures reaching just 10 to 15 degrees.
