The woman, born in 1944, told police that Russian-speaking callers introduced themselves as specialists in protecting personal data and property.

In a separate case, a Kaunas woman born in 1988 received a text message about an unpaid fine. She lost €13,000 from her bank account after clicking the link in the message.
