Boy, 8, hospitalized after object explodes in grill

An eight-year-old boy is being treated at a Vilnius hospital after an object resembling a cartridge exploded in a grill, LRT reported.

The child put the object into the grill at about 4 p.m. on Sunday in a reserve in Švenčionys district. He was admitted to hospital at about 5:48 p.m., the Police Department said.

Police have collected material concerning a case of minor bodily injury caused by negligence.
