Winds strengthen while mild temperatures persist in Lithuania
Cloudy weather and stronger winds will start the week in Lithuania, but temperatures are expected to remain relatively high, LRT reported, citing meteorologist Janas Voitkevičius of the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.
On Monday, winds will reach 15 to 19 metres per second on the coast and 9 to 14 m/s elsewhere. Skies will be mostly cloudy, with temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees Celsius and light rain in some places.
Tuesday will bring similar conditions, with light rain in some areas and winds of 9 to 14 m/s, reaching 15 to 18 m/s in some places, mainly on the coast. Temperatures will be 8 to 13 degrees overnight and 15 to 20 during the day.
Conditions are expected to improve on Wednesday. There may be some rain overnight, but none is forecast during the day. Winds will ease to 4 to 9 m/s, and temperatures will reach 15 to 19 degrees.
Thursday is expected to be mostly dry, with temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees. Rain will return on Friday, with intermittent showers forecast in many districts and temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees.
