Lithuania’s Ministry of Environment has announced a €5 million funding call for legal entities seeking to preserve naturally seeded trees on land they own, LRT reported.

Companies and organisations registered in the Register of Legal Entities can apply if they own land with naturally regenerated forest. Successful applicants will receive €900 per hectare, including value-added tax.

Applications will be assessed on an ongoing basis through the APVIS information system. The call will remain open until September 28, 2028, or until all allocated funds have been distributed.

The funding will come from the Climate Change Programme. Environment Minister Ieva Andriulaitytė approved the funding decision.
