Latvian Television airs election-day news special at 3 p.m.

Latvian Television is following events in the 15th Saeima election through a series of news specials, including a broadcast scheduled for 3 p.m., LSM reported.

Polling stations in Latvia and abroad are open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. local time on Saturday, October 3. Voters in Latvia could also cast ballots for safekeeping at polling stations from September 28 through election day.

Campaigning in public is prohibited during the election-day silence period. The newly elected Saeima is due to hold its first session on November 3, when the 14th Saeima’s term will end.
