Fraudsters steal more than 54,000 euros from Trakai district company

A company in Trakai district lost 54,374 euros after fraudsters sent it fake bank details by email, LRT reported, citing the Police Department.
The company received the details on September 23 in Užugiris village, Trakai district. The email appeared to come from its foreign business partners, and the company transferred the money to an account at a foreign bank.
A pre-trial investigation into fraud has been launched.
