Estonian jazz duo Some Times released its debut album, “Oddly Even”, on October 2, ERR reported. The 10-track record features the duo alongside 13 Estonian musicians, including bassist Heikko Remmel and saxophonist Aleksander Paal.

Some Times is made up of Mikk Kaasik and Marten Männa, whose creative partnership began while they were studying rhythm music at MUBA. Their first co-written piece, “Oddly Even”, won the Uno Naissoo composition competition and later became the album’s title track.

The duo says it wants to remain flexible in its genre, line-up and choice of instruments. Kaasik said the album brings together a wide range of what the musicians have to offer.

Some Times will present the album in Tallinn in late November. The performance will also feature Märten Lehto, Jaagup Jürgel, Samuel Kurvits, Allan Järve, Johannes Kiik, Nikita Korzoun, Aleksander Paal, Uku Konsap, Tripletone and special guests.
