Estonian singer Eleryn Tiit has released her second studio album, “Meil pole aega maa ja ilm” (“We Don’t Have All the Time in the World”), ERR reported. The album features Jüri Pootsmann, Andreas Poom, Liisi Koikson, Taavi Eelmaa, Sten Heinoja, Kristjan Kallas, Sander Berens, Canadian musician Brandon Wolfe-Scott and Tiit’s father.

Tiit said the album’s title first appeared in the lyrics of its lead single, then came to sum up the new material. She began thinking about the album a few years ago, when visits to her childhood home to see her parents or grandparents brought on an unfamiliar melancholy.

She said she eventually realised that time moves forward not only in her own life, but also in the lives of everyone she loves. “I’m getting older, and at the same time my parents are getting older too. Life is so fast and nothing lasts forever,” she said. The phrase “I don’t have time” had taken on a different meaning for her.

Tiit described writing the album as therapeutic, saying she explored its themes in depth with Sten Šeripov. She said the process was more difficult than making her first album because she was more demanding of herself, but added that she was proud of the result and the bold choices she had made.
