Dry weather will warm Lithuania to 22 degrees before rain returns
Lithuania is set for dry, mild weather through Saturday, with temperatures reaching 22 degrees on Friday, before rain returns early next week, LRT reported, citing forecaster Simona Dalinkevičiūtė of the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.
Friday will be mostly sunny and dry, although fog may linger in some areas in the morning, especially in the east. Light south-easterly winds are expected, with temperatures rising to 17–22 degrees.
Saturday will bring little change. Overnight temperatures will fall to 4–9 degrees, with slightly milder conditions on the coast. Clouds are expected to increase during the day as a weak weather front passes north of the country, but significant rain is not forecast. Temperatures will reach 17–21 degrees.
More noticeable changes are expected on Sunday. Rain is possible in some places during the day, while overnight conditions should remain mostly dry. Temperatures will range from 5–10 degrees overnight, reaching 11–14 degrees on the coast, and rise to 15–19 degrees during the day. Winds will strengthen to 6–12 metres per second.
A cyclone is expected to reach the region early next week, bringing rain clouds back to Lithuania. Showers are forecast in some areas overnight on Monday and across much of the country during the day. Rain is also expected in many districts on Tuesday. South-westerly winds will strengthen, with gusts in western Lithuania on both days. Overnight temperatures will be 7–12 degrees on Monday and 10–15 degrees on Tuesday, while daytime highs will range from 14–18 degrees.
