R.A.A.A.M. brings Pääru Oja and Jarmo Reha together on stage

Actors Pääru Oja and Jarmo Reha will perform together on stage for the first time in R.A.A.A.M.’s production “Life in the Theatre,” ERR reported. The play premieres on October 3 at Vaba Lava in Salme Cultural Centre and on October 4 at Vaba Lava in Narva.

The production takes audiences behind the scenes of theatre, bringing together two actors with different backgrounds: one has years of stage experience, while the other is driven by curiosity and a desire to learn and explore.

“We were interested in what happens when two actors with very different levels of experience find themselves in the same room and have to start listening to each other,” director Tiit Alte said. “Theatre is the starting point, but we are really talking much more about how people meet and try to understand one another.”

The play explores how generations, experiences and perspectives meet, with comedy and tragedy, tradition and innovation, and experience and curiosity coming into contact and sometimes clashing.

“Life in the Theatre” is R.A.A.A.M.’s first premiere of the season in Narva. Riina Vanhanen is the production’s set designer, and Oja and Reha appear on stage.
