Young accessory designers open joint exhibition in Tallinn

Two young accessory designers have opened a joint exhibition at Container Gallery in Tallinn’s Telliskivi Creative City, ERR reports.

Jürgen Sinnep and Meeli Kombi’s installation exhibition, titled “Meeltepööning,” brings together protective ethnographic sentimentality and performative intimacy in playful work that creates order amid sensory chaos.

“I’m interested in translating personal experiences into products, making an everyday object both functional and a formal entry in a diary,” Sinnep said. He described creating shoes as a way to engage with inner restlessness and excitement, a feeling that is never quite content in one place and wants to run into the unknown.

Questions of introspection prompted the creation of the accessories: how much are people shaped by their upbringing and role models, and to what extent does that lead them to ruin themselves?

“Meeltepööning” remains open until November 22. Container Gallery is near the F-hoone building in Telliskivi Creative City and is open around the clock, in all weather.
