Rain and cloudy skies forecast across Lithuania

Cloudy skies and intermittent rain will dominate weather in Lithuania over the coming days, LRT Radio reports, citing Simona Dalinkevičiūtė, a forecaster with the Hydrometeorological Service.

Tuesday will be mostly cloudy, with some clearer spells only in western districts. The sun is unlikely to appear in the east, where scattered rain is also expected. Elsewhere, significant rainfall is not forecast. Westerly and northwesterly winds will reach 8 to 13 metres per second, while temperatures will range from 13 to 18 degrees Celsius.

Rain is expected on Wednesday and Thursday. Wednesday will likely bring more persistent rain, while heavy showers are possible in some areas on Thursday.

North and northwesterly winds will remain fairly strong, with gusts of 15 to 16 metres per second possible near the coast. Night-time temperatures will range from 6 to 11 degrees Celsius, with slightly warmer conditions on the Curonian Spit. Daytime temperatures will reach 11 to 16 degrees.
