Harrys Puusepp to become Ülle Madise’s communications adviser

Harrys Puusepp will become communications adviser at the Office of the President of Estonia when Ülle Madise begins her term, ERR reported. He will also coordinate the work of the office’s communications department.

Madise, Estonia’s chancellor of justice and president-elect, said Puusepp’s long service to the state and experience in international security cooperation had encouraged her to invite him to join her team.

“I believe that his years of dedication to Estonia and his experience in international cooperation in the security field will help us build bridges both in Estonia and abroad. Estonia’s interests and views must be visible,” Madise said.

Puusepp said the opportunity to work with the president’s team had initially seemed daunting, but that his education and professional experience had enabled him to accept the mission and continue doing his best for Estonia.

Puusepp has more than 20 years of experience in the public sector. He has worked as communications director at the Police and Border Guard Board and as a communications expert and office manager at the Internal Security Service. He studied communications management and law at the University of Tartu.
