Saturday will bring showers and strengthening winds to Estonia

Showers will affect Estonia on Saturday, with winds strengthening later in the day, ERR reported.

During the night, a low-pressure trough moving towards the Norwegian Sea will cross the Baltic Sea and the Baltic states to the northeast. Showers will fall widely along its edge.

Saturday night will be cloudy with clear spells, and showers will move from west to east. Winds will blow from the southwest and south at 5 to 10 metres per second inland, with gusts of up to 12 metres per second. Coastal winds will reach 9 to 13 metres per second, with gusts of up to 18 metres per second. Temperatures will range from 10 to 15 degrees.

In the morning, the sky will remain fairly cloudy and showers will occur in many places. Winds will mainly come from the southwest at 5 to 12 metres per second, with coastal gusts of up to 18 metres per second. Temperatures will be between 11 and 15 degrees.

During the day, cloud cover will be variable and showers will occur in some places. A new area of rain will reach the islands in the evening. Southwest winds will blow at 5 to 10 metres per second, with gusts of up to 14 metres per second. In the afternoon, gusts will reach 16 metres per second in western and northern Estonia, and up to 21 metres per second on the islands and the western coast. Temperatures will rise to between 15 and 18 degrees.

Sunday will be windy, with variable cloud cover and showers. Thunderstorms are possible in the evening, while temperatures will remain between 15 and 18 degrees.

Monday will bring variable cloud cover and occasional rain. Cloud cover will be lighter and changeable on Tuesday and Wednesday, but scattered showers will continue. Average temperatures will fall to 14 degrees on Monday, then reach 15 degrees on Tuesday and 16 degrees on Wednesday.
