Drunk men detained after breaking Ukrainian flagpole in Vilnius

Two intoxicated men broke the pole of a Ukrainian national flag from a building on Gediminas Avenue in central Vilnius early Monday and fled, but were detained, LRT reported, citing the Police Department.

The flag was damaged at about 3 a.m. The suspects, born in 2000 and 1995, were taken to a detention facility.

They recorded blood alcohol levels of 1.49 and 2.43 per mille. A pre-trial investigation has been opened.
