Weekend forecast brings contrasting weather

Weekend weather will vary, with mostly dry conditions on Saturday followed by more widespread showers on Sunday, LRT reports, citing Ineta Daunoravičiūtė, a forecaster at the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

Friday will see less rain and changeable cloud cover, with some sunny spells. Winds will reach 8 to 13 metres per second, while temperatures will rise to 17 to 21 degrees Celsius.

Saturday night will be dry, with temperatures of 7 to 12 degrees. Clouds will build during the day but are not expected to bring much rain, and temperatures will reach 16 to 21 degrees.

There may be brief showers in some places on Sunday night, while most districts will receive short periods of rain during the day. Temperatures will range from 7 to 12 degrees overnight and 15 to 20 degrees during the day.

The new week will be rainy, with brief showers continuing in many areas and temperatures ranging from 16 to 20 degrees.
