52 explosives found in Radviliškis district

Fifty-two explosives were found in Linkaičiai village in Radviliškis district on Wednesday, LRT reported, citing the Fire and Rescue Department.

The Shield plan was activated at 6 p.m. on Arsenalo Street after explosives were suspected to have been found. Firefighters escorted bomb disposal specialists to the Stalmokai quarry, where the explosives were destroyed.

The items included three artillery shells, 38 pieces of ammunition, eight M24 hand grenades, two fuses for GTM artillery shells and one aircraft bomb fuse.
