Rain, thunderstorms and heavy showers are expected across Estonia on Thursday, with temperatures reaching 14 to 18 degrees, ERR reports.
Overnight, showers will occur in some places as a low-pressure system shifts towards Finland. Southwesterly and westerly winds will turn southerly after midnight, reaching 3 to 9 metres per second, with gusts of up to 12 metres per second. Temperatures will remain between 11 and 16 degrees.
Rain will fall in many places in the morning. Parts of western Estonia may also see thunderstorms and heavy showers. Winds will blow from the southwest and south at 3 to 9 metres per second, with gusts of up to 12 metres per second and up to 14 metres per second on the coast of western Estonia. Temperatures will range from 13 to 16 degrees.
Showers will continue during the day, with thunderstorms and heavy downpours possible in some areas. Southwesterly and southerly winds will reach 4 to 10 metres per second, with gusts of up to 15 metres per second. On the islands, winds will turn northwesterly in the evening. Strong gusts are also possible beneath thunderclouds.
Friday night will remain rainy, but clouds will begin to break from the west during the day. Rain showers may continue in Virumaa and near Lake Peipus.
Showers will become less frequent over the weekend, although conditions will not be completely dry. The night leading into Saturday will be the coolest, with temperatures falling to 5 or 6 degrees. Daytime highs will rise a few degrees above 15 degrees, though it will be cooler beneath rain clouds.
