Summer warmth will give way to autumn weather on Thursday

Summer-like warmth will last in Lithuania until midweek, but rain, stronger winds and cooler temperatures are expected from Thursday, LRT reports. The forecast was provided by Paulius Starkus, a forecaster with the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service, to LRT Radio.

Tuesday will be mostly clear. Some rain is possible in northwestern Lithuania towards the end of the day. Temperatures will reach 20 to 23 degrees Celsius.

Wednesday night will be cloudy, with temperatures ranging from 11 to 16 degrees. During the day, northwestern Lithuania will remain cloudy, with brief rain and possible thunderstorms. Elsewhere, the day will be sunny, with temperatures rising to 23 to 28 degrees.

Rain is expected across the country on Thursday and may be heavy in some places overnight. Gusts of up to 15 to 17 metres per second are forecast during the day. Temperatures will range from 12 to 17 degrees at night and from 15 to 20 degrees during the day.
