More than 102,000 euros has been donated so far in a campaign by Latvia’s public media and the Ziedot.lv charity to support the rehabilitation of Ukrainian soldiers, LSM reported. The campaign has raised 102,787.12 euros.

The campaign, titled “Together with Ukraine in thoughts and deeds,” is collecting funds for medical care, psychological support, recovery and assistance in returning to society.

Organised to mark Ukraine’s Independence Day, the campaign runs from August 17 to September 13. Donations can be made through the Ziedot.lv website or by calling 90204113. The call costs 5 euros, including value-added tax.

LSM said soldiers returning from the front need both medical and psychological support to recover from the physical and mental trauma caused by the war and regain their strength for civilian life.

Since the start of the war, LSM and Ziedot.lv have raised more than 2 million euros to support assistance to Ukraine. Previous campaigns collected 896,701 euros for Ukrainian refugee children in Latvia in 2022, nearly 355,000 euros in February and March 2024, nearly 335,000 euros in August and September 2024, and more than 465,000 euros in early 2025. Another campaign in August and September 2025 raised 240,000 euros, while a campaign in February 2026 collected more than 745,000 euros.
