Estonia’s Police and Border Guard Board temporarily closed the Luhamaa border crossing after two Iranian citizens repeatedly tried to enter the country without valid grounds, ERR reported.
The board’s South Prefecture said the man and woman had destroyed their travel documents after arriving from Russian territory. Border guards banned them from entering Estonia and sent them back to Russia.
Estonian authorities informed their Russian counterparts, but the Iranian citizens were allowed to continue trying to enter Estonia. The crossing will remain closed until Russia resolves the situation.
