Rain to dampen Lithuania before warmer Monday
Much of Lithuania will see brief rain and thunderstorms on Friday, with temperatures reaching 16 to 21 degrees Celsius, LRT reported, citing Janas Voitkevičius, a forecaster with the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.
The day will be cloudy with sunny intervals. Winds will blow from the south and southwest at 9 to 14 metres per second, with gusts of 15 to 18 metres per second in some areas, mainly along the coast.
A cyclone will bring unsettled weather on Saturday. Rain will fall intermittently, locally heavily, and thunderstorms are possible in some places. Winds will shift from southerly at night to westerly during the day, reaching 9 to 14 metres per second. Gusts will reach 15 to 20 metres per second in many areas, especially along the coast and in the south. Temperatures will range from 10 to 15 degrees at night and 14 to 19 degrees during the day.
Sunday will be somewhat brighter, although brief rain is expected in many areas and heavy rain is possible along the coast at night. Winds will ease to 8 to 13 metres per second, but coastal gusts will remain at 15 to 18 metres per second overnight. Daytime temperatures will reach 16 to 21 degrees.
Monday will bring somewhat better weather, with no significant rain expected. Temperatures will rise to 18 to 23 degrees.
