Ülle Madise meets President Alar Karis after election

Ülle Madise, elected Estonia’s next president on Wednesday, visited the presidential office in Kadriorg on Thursday morning to meet incumbent President Alar Karis, ERR reported.

Madise was elected by Estonia’s parliament with 71 votes in favour.

She will take office on October 12, when she is due to swear the oath of office before parliament.
