Scammers defraud Vilnius man of 127,600 euros
Scammers defrauded a man in Vilnius of 127,600 euros, LRT reported on Wednesday, citing the Police Department.
The 1954-born man contacted Vilnius County Police on Tuesday and said that, between July 24 and August 27, he had communicated with an unknown Russian-speaking man through an online messaging app while at home.
The stranger persuaded him to invest money in cryptocurrency and precious metals. Police have opened a pre-trial investigation.
