Estonian military warns two counties of possible air threat

People in Lääne-Viru and Ida-Viru counties received a possible air threat warning from the Estonian Defence Forces early Tuesday, ERR reported.

The warning was issued because aircraft, including drones, could stray into Estonian airspace in connection with Russia’s military activity against Ukraine.

The Defence Forces said it uses the EE-ALARM public warning channels to report both threats requiring people to take shelter and possible air threats. Residents should follow the instructions issued by the state, as not every warning requires sheltering. More detailed information may take time to arrive, while an initial warning contains the most urgent instructions.
