Police search for woman with open tuberculosis after she leaves hospital

Alytus County police are searching for Brigita Ivanauskaitė, born in 2001, who left the tuberculosis ward of Alytus County Hospital on Sunday and did not return, LRT reported, citing police.

Police said Ivanauskaitė has an open form of tuberculosis, which may pose a risk to people around her. She was wearing blue sports trousers and a sports sweatshirt when she left. She may be travelling to Tauragė District Municipality.

Anyone who knows where she is or has seen her is asked to urgently contact Robertas Stanaitis, a chief investigator with the Activities Division of the Alytus City and District Police Commissariat, at 0 700 65715, by email at [email protected] or by calling 112.
