Explosive ordnance triggers Skydas plan in Marijampolė municipality

Authorities introduced the Skydas plan in Marijampolė municipality on Sunday after artillery shells were found, LRT reported, citing the Kaunas Fire and Rescue Board.

The explosives were reported at 12:11 p.m. in Gustabūdis village, in the Mokolai eldership. Bomb disposal specialists found one 76 mm artillery shell, three 75 mm shells and fragments of three artillery shells.

The specialists took the findings to Rasių quarry for disposal.
