Hot-air balloons to appear over Latvia during Gordon Bennett race

Hot-air balloons may be visible in the skies over Latvia for several weeks as they take part in the Coupe Aéronautique Gordon Bennett competition, LSM reported, citing the Civil Aviation Agency.

Authorised balloon entries into Latvian airspace are scheduled from August 28 to September 15. Six balloons are expected to enter on Sunday, August 30, with an approximate landing area near Rēzekne.

The balloons’ movements can also be tracked on the Flightradar24 app.
