Weekend rain forecast as temperatures reach 26 degrees

Rain is expected across Lithuania this weekend, but temperatures will remain summer-like and reach up to 26 degrees, LRT Radio reported, citing Paulius Starkus, a forecaster with the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

Friday will be mostly clear until midday, with clouds becoming thicker in the afternoon. No rain is forecast, and temperatures will reach 21 to 24 degrees.

Saturday night will be partly cloudy and dry, with temperatures of 11 to 16 degrees. Cloud cover will increase during the day, and rain will reach many districts by evening. Wind gusts could reach 16 metres per second. Daytime temperatures will rise to 21 to 23 degrees.

Short periods of rain are forecast throughout Sunday, with variable cloud cover. Temperatures will range from 11 to 16 degrees at night and 21 to 26 degrees during the day.
