Scammers defraud Kaunas resident of nearly 20,000 euros

Scammers defrauded a Kaunas resident of 19,716 euros through a fake online investment platform, LRT reported, citing the Police Department.

A man born in 1947 contacted police on Tuesday and said he had been defrauded between August 11 and August 21.

A pre-trial investigation into fraud has been launched.
