Martin Kirsiste releases seven-year stage music collection

Composer Martin Kirsiste has released a 16-track album collecting stage music and sound designs from productions over the past seven years, Estonian public broadcaster ERR reported.

The album, titled Martin Kirsiste’s Stage Music, runs for one hour and 45 minutes and includes works from Gargantua, Dances to Fall Asleep, Dream, Rest and Resist, Cosmodolphins and other productions.

It also features pieces originally created for the stage but ultimately not used.

The album is available digitally and physically. The two-CD edition includes a booklet with information about all the productions, along with notes and drawings made while creating the tracks. The cover was designed by artist Katariina Kesküla.

Kirsiste has devoted the past nine years to theatre. He graduated from the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre with a bachelor’s degree in composition and a master’s degree in audiovisual creation. Alongside composition, he also works in performance and textile art.
