Police find murdered man in Panevėžys, detain suspect

LRT reported that a man was found murdered in an apartment in Panevėžys during the night into Friday, and an intoxicated suspect was detained.

The Police Department said the body of a man born in 1960 was found on Kranto Street at about 12:35 a.m. The suspect, born in 2000, had an alcohol level of 2.03 per mille and was taken into custody.

A pre-trial investigation into murder has been opened.
