Rain showers to cross Estonia on Wednesday

Rain showers will move across Estonia on Wednesday, with temperatures reaching 17 to 21 degrees, ERR reported.

During the coming night, Estonia will remain on the edge of a low-pressure system moving north over western Russia. Rain linked to the system will spread across eastern Estonia, while western areas will see only isolated showers. Winds will remain gusty for longer as the low-pressure system moves towards northwestern Russia.

Western and central Estonia will have partly cloudy skies overnight, with isolated rain showers on the islands and fog in some places. Eastern Estonia will be cloudier, with rain in many areas. Winds will blow from the west and northwest at 2 to 8 metres per second, while northwesterly and northerly winds in eastern Estonia will gust up to 12 metres per second. Temperatures will range from 7 to 12 degrees, reaching up to 15 degrees on the coast.

Wednesday morning will be clear or lightly clouded, although some rain showers are possible. Fog will occur in places in western Estonia. Winds will blow from the northwest and west at 2 to 8 metres per second, with gusts of up to 12 metres per second on the northern coast and in eastern Estonia. Temperatures will be 11 to 15 degrees.

During the day, skies will be lightly or partly cloudy, with scattered rain showers. More widespread rain will approach from the southwest in the evening. Winds will blow from the northwest and west, shifting to west and southwest in the afternoon, at 4 to 10 metres per second, with gusts of up to 14 metres per second on the mainland. Temperatures will rise to 17 to 21 degrees.

The evening will be clear or lightly clouded, with no significant precipitation. Winds from the western directions will reach 3 to 8 metres per second, with southerly winds also possible on the islands. Winds will reach up to 10 metres per second on the northern coast, with gusts of up to 13 metres per second. Temperatures will fall to 14 to 17 degrees.

On Thursday night, rain showers will spread from west to east across the country. During the day, rain clouds will become less frequent from the west. Temperatures will range from 7 to 15 degrees overnight and from 16 to 20 degrees during the day. Frequent showers are also expected on the following days, with nighttime temperatures of 9 to 15 degrees and daytime temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees. Temperatures will be a few degrees lower under the showers.
