Xenia Joost to leave Culture Ministry post at end of August

Culture Ministry Deputy Secretary General Xenia Joost will leave her position at the end of August, ERR reported. Joost, who oversees creative affairs, began working at the ministry on June 2 last year, and her last working day will be August 31.

Ministry spokeswoman Liisi Rohtung told ERR that Joost is leaving of her own accord.

Bianka Soe, head of the creative affairs department, will serve as acting deputy secretary general. A new recruitment process will be announced shortly, Rohtung said.

The deputy secretary general for creative affairs is responsible for developing the architecture and design, audiovisual, performing arts, literature, media, art and music sectors.
