Estonia, rain showers, weather

Parts of Estonia will see rain showers on Tuesday as a low pressure system with several centres covers the Baltic Sea region, ERR reports.

The heaviest showers are expected in northeastern Estonia before noon and in the southeast during the afternoon. Isolated showers are also possible in central Estonia. Winds will turn northerly but remain mostly light, while temperatures will reach up to 20 degrees Celsius.

Tuesday night will bring partly cloudy skies, occasional showers and patches of drizzle. Westerly winds will reach 2 to 8 metres per second, with gusts of up to 12 metres per second on the northern coast early in the night. Temperatures will range from 8 to 15 degrees.

Wednesday morning will bring isolated showers to northeastern Estonia and the islands. Showers will spread to southern Estonia during the day, with heavier rain expected in the northeast. Temperatures will range from 7 to 12 degrees overnight and from 17 to 21 degrees during the day.

Rain is also forecast for Thursday, which is a national holiday in Estonia. Showers will reach the islands overnight and spread to the mainland during the day, although the evening is expected to be drier. Friday and Saturday are also likely to bring showers in several parts of the country, with daytime temperatures only slightly above 20 degrees.
