Changeable weather will continue in Lithuania, with rain in many areas and thunderstorms possible in the west and north, LRT reported, citing Paulius Starkus, a forecaster with the Lithuanian Hydrometeorological Service.

Monday will be mostly cloudy with sunny spells and passing showers in many parts of the country. Showers will be more active and frequent in western and northern districts, where thunderstorms are also possible. The southeastern part of the country is expected to remain drier. Moderate winds will prevail, with temperatures reaching 18 to 22 degrees Celsius.

Clouds will also thicken in southeastern Lithuania on Tuesday night, with rain possible in the second half of the night. Rain is also expected in the west, although it will be brief. The day will remain overcast, with rain that could be heavy in eastern Lithuania. The west is likely to see more sunny spells and brief but more intense showers. Temperatures will fall to 8 to 12 degrees overnight, remaining at 14 to 17 degrees on the coast, and will rise to 16 to 21 degrees during the day.

Changeable weather will continue on Wednesday. Rain may persist from retreating clouds until midnight, while brief showers are expected on the coast towards dawn. Overnight temperatures will range from 8 to 13 degrees. The day will be cloudy with sunny spells and brief rain, with temperatures rising to 19 to 24 degrees.

The second half of the week is expected to bring similar conditions. The low-pressure area will remain close to Lithuania, meaning dry weather is unlikely. Brief showers are expected for the most part, with overnight temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees and daytime highs of 20 to 25 degrees.
