Cooler weather and showers forecast for coming days
Weather will turn slightly cooler in the coming days, with rain showers expected across Estonia and thunderstorms possible in places on Sunday, ERR reported.
During the night into Sunday, skies will be changeable and showers will occur in many areas. Southerly winds will reach 2 to 8 metres per second, with gusts of up to 13 metres per second on the islands and western coast. Temperatures will range from 14 to 19 degrees Celsius.
Sunday morning will bring partly clear and variable cloud cover, with local showers. Southerly winds will reach 3 to 9 metres per second, with gusts of up to 13 metres per second along the coast. On the islands, winds will turn westerly. Temperatures will be 17 to 19 degrees.
During the day, skies will remain variably cloudy, with showers in many places and thunderstorms possible in some areas. Winds will blow from the southwest and west, and from the south in eastern Estonia before noon, at 4 to 10 metres per second. Gusts will reach 13 metres per second and up to 15 metres per second on the coast. Temperatures will rise to 19 to 24 degrees, reaching up to 26 degrees in eastern Estonia.
In the evening, skies will be partly clear and variable, with showers expected in many areas. Southwesterly and westerly winds will reach 4 to 10 metres per second, with gusts of up to 13 metres per second and up to 15 metres per second on the western coast. Evening temperatures will be 17 to 19 degrees.
The first half of next week will bring variable cloud cover, with showers in many places and thunderstorms possible locally. Thursday is also expected to be relatively cloudy and rainy. Average temperatures will be around 20 degrees on Monday, 19 degrees on Tuesday and Wednesday, and 20 degrees again on Thursday.
