Dark Side of the Moon festival brings 30 artists to Tallinn

More than 30 artists from Estonia and elsewhere in Europe will perform during the 48-hour Dark Side of the Moon festival at Hall, a club in Tallinn’s Noblessner area, ERR reports. The ninth edition runs from August 14 to 16 and focuses on electronic and experimental music.

International performers include Steffi, a longtime resident of Berghain and head of the Klakson and Dolly record labels; Blasha and Allatt, co-founders of Manchester party series Meat Free; Unai Trotti, who runs the London party series and record label Cartulis Music; Laurine, co-founder of the Slow Life collective; Brussels-based Hicham; and Finnish artists Jeku, Ojelma, Una, Joni DJ and Denzel.

The Estonian programme features Artur Lääts, Rästas, Fakign, Micaxsan, Sassbass, Katja Adrikova, Labrighli and Meelis Vili on the main stage. Kin Spin, the Plastik record label, Tanel and Charch will perform at the Mesila stage, while Rebane, Acid Grooves, Minimal Crew, Arto, Mava, Noa and Jaan will appear on the Suvila terrace.

Kin Spin will open the festival at the Mesila stage at 11 p.m. on Friday, while Hicham will close it at 7 p.m. on Sunday on the Suvila terrace.

Dark Side of the Moon was first held in 2018. Its programme presents local artists and newcomers with distinctive styles alongside leading electronic music performers from abroad.
