Police report assaults involving minors in Vilnius and Klaipėda

LRT reported that two minors were injured in separate incidents in Vilnius and Klaipėda on Thursday.

A minor born in 2009 was taken to a Vilnius hospital from Ozo Street at about 10.40 a.m. and admitted for observation. She said she had fought with another minor, born in 2011, in a room that day. Police collected material over suspected bodily harm.

In Klaipėda, an intoxicated man injured a 14-year-old boy with a knife in a yard on Šilutės Avenue at about 8 p.m. The boy, born in 2012, was also struck by the man. After receiving medical treatment, he was treated as an outpatient.

The suspect, born in 1987, had a blood alcohol level of 2.62 per mille and was detained. A pretrial investigation was opened on suspicion of disturbing public order.
