Pedestrian dies after being hit by car in Tallinn

A pedestrian died after being hit by a car at the intersection of Tööstuse and Kalaranna streets in Tallinn’s Põhja-Tallinn district shortly before noon on Tuesday, ERR reported.

Emergency services were unable to save the person’s life.

The crossing at the scene is a temporary pedestrian crossing marked with traffic signs.

Police are investigating the circumstances of the crash. Traffic in the area is disrupted, and police have asked people at the scene to follow officers’ instructions.
