Blue/Yellow to send 222 Starlink terminals to Ukraine

LRT reported that the Lithuanian non-governmental organisation Blue/Yellow will provide Ukrainian troops with 222 Starlink communication terminals after residents and businesses donated 77,949 euros during a July support campaign.

The campaign, called Starlink for the Front, was launched in response to urgent and continuous requests from Ukrainian soldiers. Sixty Lithuanian companies joined the initiative, while private individuals also contributed.

Blue/Yellow director Laura Paukštė said the response showed that support came from dozens of people and businesses rather than only one or two major donors.

The organisation said reliable Starlink connectivity is essential in modern warfare. The terminals allow drones to overcome radio-frequency restrictions and withstand enemy electronic jamming systems, helping Ukraine carry out increasingly effective strikes against targets thousands of kilometres from the front line.

To speed up the deliveries, Blue/Yellow bought and sent 100 terminals to the front during the campaign. The remaining devices are being purchased and will soon be handed over to Ukrainian units that have continued to request the equipment.

Blue/Yellow has provided various forms of support to Ukrainian soldiers and civilians since 2014.
