E-address system to go offline for planned technical upgrades

Latvia’s e-address system will be unavailable from 10 p.m. on August 14 through August 16 during planned technical upgrades, LSM reported.

The State Digital Development Agency said the work aims to strengthen cybersecurity and ensure compliance with current security requirements by migrating the e-address solution to a cloud service managed by the Latvian State Radio and Television Centre.

The Latvija.gov.lv portal, its e-services and the Unified Login module for user authentication will continue operating as usual. However, e-address functions will be suspended both on the portal and in document management and accounting system integrations used by public institutions and legal entities, including the parvaldiba.lv portal.

During the outage, public and municipal institutions, residents and businesses will not be able to send or receive e-address messages, including e-invoices. Services on Latvija.gov.lv that require users to submit applications through electronic forms will also be unavailable.

Full e-address functionality will be restored after the technical work is completed. Users will then have access to all messages and e-invoices sent or received before the work began, as well as new incoming messages.

The agency urged institutions, residents and businesses to schedule the sending of important e-address messages, documents, e-invoices and electronic forms by the evening of August 14 or after August 16. Users who notice problems with e-address messages, electronic forms or e-invoices from August 17 onward should contact the agency’s support service at [email protected].
