Scammers steal €48,000 from company in Vilkaviskis district

Scammers stole €48,000 from a company in Lithuania’s Vilkaviskis district, LRT reported, citing the Police Department.

The company received an email containing falsified bank details for its purported foreign partners and transferred the money to the specified account at a foreign bank on Wednesday.

Police have opened a pre-trial investigation into fraud.
