Police suspect murder after two bodies found in Varėna district

LRT reports that police suspect a murder after the bodies of a woman and a man were found in a house in Vazgirdoniai village, Varėna district, on Wednesday.

The bodies of the woman, born in 1975, and the man, born in 1973, were found at about 9:15 p.m.

Police found a 16-gauge single-barrel hunting rifle beside the man’s body. They suspect the man shot the woman and then killed himself.

A pre-trial investigation has been opened.
