Thursday to bring sunshine and warm weather to Estonia

ERR reports that Thursday will be sunny and warm in Estonia, with temperatures reaching 25 degrees Celsius and up to 28 degrees in the east.

A low-pressure system will move into Scandinavia, sending a trough with rain showers across Estonia overnight. Showers will be scattered and thunderstorms are possible. Temperatures will remain between 15 and 19 degrees, while southerly winds will reach 2 to 8 metres per second, with gusts of up to 11 metres per second on the coast.

Showers will continue over the mainland in the morning, particularly in eastern Estonia. Southerly and southwesterly winds will reach 2 to 7 metres per second, with speeds of up to 10 metres per second on the coast. Temperatures will rise to between 19 and 21 degrees.

During the day, sunny spells will alternate with passing clouds. A few isolated showers are also possible. Southwesterly and westerly winds will strengthen to 5 to 10 metres per second, with gusts of up to 15 metres per second. Temperatures will range from 19 to 25 degrees, reaching up to 28 degrees in eastern Estonia.

Some showers are expected in the evening. Strong southwesterly winds will produce gusts of up to 13 metres per second inland and 15 metres per second on the coast. Temperatures will remain between 19 and 23 degrees.

Rain will reach Estonia from the edge of the low-pressure system on Friday and Saturday. Showers will be scattered at night and more widespread during the day. Cooler air will move in, with temperatures dropping slightly below 10 degrees overnight into Saturday and daytime temperatures remaining around 20 degrees.

Sunday will be clearer and dry. The night will remain cool, while daytime temperatures will rise slightly above 20 degrees.
