Police investigate alleged assault of toddler in Kelmė district

LRT reports that a man allegedly assaulted a young child in Kelmė district.

Police said they received information on Monday from the Šiauliai Child Rights Protection Division that, between July 24 and 26, a man born in 1997 allegedly assaulted a boy born in 2023 at a home in Kerbedlaukis village, Kelmė district.

The suspect has not been detained or questioned. A pre-trial investigation has been opened on suspicion of causing physical pain or a minor health impairment.
