Two robberies reported in Vilnius and Kaunas

Two people were robbed in separate incidents in Vilnius and Kaunas on Tuesday, according to a report by LRT and police.

In Kaunas, a man born in 1958 had his apartment invaded around 2 p.m. on Pašilės Street. The assailant punched him in the face and stole a wallet containing 6,000 euros.

In Vilnius, a man sprayed gas at a woman born in 1981 around 8:20 p.m. on Sodų Street, injuring her. He then stole her handbag, which contained a mobile phone, personal documents, jewelry, and cash. The woman received medical treatment and is recovering as an outpatient. The suspect, born in 1996, has been detained.

Pre-trial investigations into the robberies have been launched.
